Overview

We are seeking a motivated and compassionate Dental Assistant to join our dental care team. In this role, you will support dentists during procedures, ensure patient comfort, and help maintain a smooth and efficient clinical workflow. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, patient-focused, and eager to contribute to a positive dental experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the dentist during examinations and dental procedures
  • Prepare and sterilize instruments and treatment rooms
  • Take and develop dental X-rays (if certified/allowed by state regulations)
  • Provide patient support and ensure comfort before, during, and after treatment
  • Record patient information and update dental charts accurately
  • Maintain infection control standards and follow safety protocols
  • Manage chairside assistance and anticipate dentist needs during procedures
  • Educate patients on post-treatment care and oral hygiene basics

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Completion of a Dental Assistant training program preferred
  • Radiology certification (if required by state) is a plus
  • Previous dental office experience preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced clinical environment
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
