Overview
We are seeking a motivated and compassionate Dental Assistant to join our dental care team. In this role, you will support dentists during procedures, ensure patient comfort, and help maintain a smooth and efficient clinical workflow. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, patient-focused, and eager to contribute to a positive dental experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the dentist during examinations and dental procedures
- Prepare and sterilize instruments and treatment rooms
- Take and develop dental X-rays (if certified/allowed by state regulations)
- Provide patient support and ensure comfort before, during, and after treatment
- Record patient information and update dental charts accurately
- Maintain infection control standards and follow safety protocols
- Manage chairside assistance and anticipate dentist needs during procedures
- Educate patients on post-treatment care and oral hygiene basics
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Completion of a Dental Assistant training program preferred
- Radiology certification (if required by state) is a plus
- Previous dental office experience preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced clinical environment
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
